Romantic Oklahoma Autumn Sunset Wedding

Jess + Heath are some of the kindest people you’ll ever have the privilege of meeting. Their day ended up being insanely windy, but never once did I hear them complain or stress about it. They were there to commit their lives to each other and to celebrate that with those they loved, and nothing took their focus from that all day. A few of our favorite moments/things about their day:

• Jess wore Chaco’s with their wedding date embroidered on them with her dress. She said she’d worn Chaco’s to every other big event in her life and she didn’t see why her wedding should be any different.

• Heath’s reaction when he saw Jess at their first look. He was so overwhelmed with how beautiful she was and how she was about to be his WIFE!

• The sunset. It totally made up for the wind because it was so insanely beautiful. Jess + Heath got to sneak away from their reception for a few minutes of quiet and the photos are seriously some of my favorite ever.

Small Backyard Family Wedding

When Anna contacted us and told us that she and Caleb planned to get married in her mom’s Crown Heights backyard surrounded only by their immediate families, we pretty much did a few cartwheels with excitement. I mean come on. How perfectly intimate! They had their families get them ready, then met at Edgemere Park in Oklahoma City for an emotional first look and exchange of vows before heading to the backyard for the most perfect little ceremony. Caleb's dad officiated and they concluded the ceremony with each of their parents speaking words of encouragement over them and their new marriage. Dinner was served under string lights in the backyard, and they celebrated well into the night with cake, dancing, and a sparkler send off. Being welcomed into moments like this never gets old.

Intimate Backyard Oklahoma Wedding

Something about shooting your best friend’s wedding just hits a little different, ya know? We met Blake when we were all freshmen in college together and he quickly became one of the most important people in our lives. Kevin, Blake, and their other two best friends lived together all throughout their college years, and we have such treasured memories of travels, late night studies, Whataburger runs, and good conversations over good cups of coffee together. We’ve always known that whoever Blake fell in love with would be so special, and we could not have been more right. When Blake met Grace, it was obvious she was the one. The adoration they have for each other is apparent and their connection is so beautiful to bear witness to.

Blake and Grace had planned a large wedding to celebrate their union, but Covid caused their plans to shift toward an intimate group of people gathered to encourage them in the new journey they were embarking on together. It could not have been more beautiful. Thanks to their incredibly talented event planner and florist (seriously, Callie at Bayly Blooms is our fav forever and ever amen), every detail told their story - from being surrounded by their favorite flowers, to a fun party crown for Grace to wear at the reception, to being welcomed with their guests throwing dried lavender to set a beautiful and calm atmosphere for their entrance to the backyard dinner, to their private last dance surrounded by the surprise floral arrangements Callie had designed for them. I don’t use the word lightly when I say that the entire day was magic. Please soak in just a tiny bit of the joy of this stunning intimate backyard wedding.

Golden Oklahoma Hillside Wedding

Where to even begin about this day? Casey + Savannah got married at the ever beautiful View at Hillside Barn in Sapulpa, Oklahoma this summer and wow. Every single bit of their day exuded intention. In every moment and every detail, they treated each other, their family, and friends with such tenderness and care that more than once throughout the day I found myself having to wipe my eyes behind my camera.

The sun shone its golden light perfectly over their ceremony and set the most ethereal scene as they said their vows. The night ended with candlelight and dancing and I couldn’t have dreamed up anything lovelier even if I tried.

Dreamy South Carolina Forest Wedding

We met Casey + Tristan through Casey’s brother and sister in law. When Casey reached out and told us that she was getting married, we were elated to plan and prepare for her spring wedding in the stunning town of Bluffton, South Carolina. And then 2020 did its worst. Casey and Tristan, like so many other couples this year, ended up pushing their wedding back to late summer in hopes that the pandemic would be better by then. Though they had to make some adjustments to their initial plans, they handled themselves with so much grace and love, focusing on the beauty of the fact that whenever and however it happened, they would finally be married. They exchanged their vows privately in the forest before the ceremony began, braved the misty rain, danced away under the twinkling lights, and released lanterns over the river in memory of those they loved. Their day was beautiful, full of so much love, joy, and celebration, and was truly an honor to be a part of!
